hey, I recently just had my car converted to a manual, but I'm really concerned about some things that are going on with it now. I'm still in the process of learning about cars so i dont know much about drivetrain & tranny stuff yet. The guys who worked on it told me what they believe the problems are and are willing to fix them, but I just thought i'd get a few other opinions from you guys so i can make sure we get this fixed up well.

First of all, you can tell by my screen name i have a GSX except right now its RWD...all the power is going to the rear wheels. At times the front wheels will pull a little bit but i'm squealing tires going around turns at rational speeds and spinning tires @ take-off. Center differential problem, correct?

Secondly, when i got it back (after 2 months of not having my car ), of course i wanted to test her out and see what she could do. I noticed a good power difference but one incredibly obnoxious thing. When it's driven hard in say, 2nd or 3rd gear there's a thumping noise from the rear...is this bad bearings?

Any ideas you guys have would be excellent to help me understand this better thank you

oh yeah, and one more thing, when they did the swap i hope that they changed the rear differential because the 5spd is different than the auto! That could be all your problems right there.
