clutch masters?

I have the cluthch masters 2500 clutch and pressure plate and have used it for about 3k miles plus 600 non boost miles for break-in. i basically baby this thing and about 2 days ago when i floored it to pass someone on the highway the clutch began to slip and my car increased rpm without gaining speed. i dont think the clutch should be goin out like this and i am kinda a little pissed. i was just wonderin if there could be anything other then the clutch that i have maybe missed.

check to make sure the clutch pedal has some freeplay or dead space at the top. if it doesn't then it would be like riding the clutch everywere you drive. adjust the linkage if there is no freeplay
