I'm trying to replace the axle seal, but when i pull on it with a needle nose it just rips, i need to get the car outta the garge tonight, sooner the better. I know it's probobally a real simple solution, thanks for ne help.

got the old one out, but how do i get the new one in evenly and seat correctly. Goin to the garage, please help?

i believe i used a 34 or a 36mm socket, just get the seal in as much as you can then put the socket over it then start tapping it with a hammer

Clean up the axle opening of the tranny real good, put some RTV on the outside edge of the seal. The take a small piece of wood, like a 1x2 and slowly tap it into place moving around it in a cirular pattern on every tap. Just get the seal flush with the tranny case.
Then be sure to lube your axle end where it rides on the inner edge of the seal.
