I am thinking of purchasing a 96 Talon.

It's a great looking car, but the engine is in bad shape (engine knock)

I'm planning on putting a new engine in it and changing the Auto tranny to manual.

I was wondering, is it pricey to do the Auto - Man conversion? If anyone has any experience with this conversion, please get back to me asap! :) i dont want the car to get sold LOL

ps- What engine should i look into? Dont know muich about DSMs... owned a honda forever. Reading constantly though

thanks in advance...

I suggest looking for another car. Putting in a new engine, and having the auto to manual conversion done will cost just as much as a good used GSX. For all this, it may cost you around $4-5000.
