Reverse is being stubborn..

I've actually had this issue for the longest time now (6 months+) This car is obviously a female that lives to torment me.

Anyway, went I put the car in reverse I have to lift the clutch half-way up to slide it into gear, otherwise it ends up popping out.....any suggestions?-
