i took my car to the track today for the first time and came up with some pretty bad times. im not sure if this is what an automatic tsi is suposed to run at 11psi but it seemed kinda slow to me.

R/T: .779
60' 2.14
1/8 10.15
MPH: 67.95
1/4 15.98
MPH: 82.11

think there is something wrong? because the car definatly doesnt feel this slow.

Are you 5-speed or auto? You should have much better 60ft times even stock. More like high 1.7's to 1.8's. Work on the launch and you will be right where you should be at high 14's.

brake torquing till boost is built then when the light drops i let off the brake

How many pounds are you building?

I'm not very familiar with Auto AWD launches :(

Rogue

during brake torquing i was putting out anywhere from 5 to 7 pounds. btw i ripped an old school supra out of the whole and he didnt catch up until he shifted into 3rd gear. I think i need to do some more mods to build up some more torque in 1st gear and probably a shift kit to help. thanks for the help anyways guys i guess there inst anything wrong because i read that an automatic will always be about a full second slower then a stick which would mean my times are about right seeing how a stock 5 speed runs anywhere from mid to high 14s.

You should do a tourqe converter, shift kit and end clutch. Also if you still have that 13g turbo take it off and get atleast a 14b and manifold from a 1g.

Or possibly a 2g manifold and 1g turbo.

450 injectors would also be a good investment with the newer turbo you will need more fuel.

ok so im pissed... i went to the track last night in my 90 GSX 5 spd, and i ran a 16.1@ like 85mph or somethin like that.. my 60' time was somewhere around 2.2-2.3 i was so humiliated.. my boost was set at around 10-12 psi or so.. it spiked to 14.. im wondering why my car sucks. oh btw has anyone actually had a PERFECT reaction time, cuz on my first run mine was .500 on the dot.. how sick is that...

don't worry about the times. I had the same times my first time out. I've gotten my ET to 15.8 on my second trip. Just be a little more aggressive with letting the clutch out. I'm trying not to be so easy with it when I'm at the track.

yea im definatly babying the clutch.. i just dont want it to break. why go to the track then? LOL i havent really practiced launching either maybe i should start

I never been inside automatic DSM, but I've heard that people on WRX with Auto they put that shit in second and torque break it to build up boost, and as soon as it's time to go just drop it in first they say it launches you in the back of the seat like crazy!!!
