I guess the main reason I asked was because my buddy is dropping nearly 15K into his civic, and us w/ AWD platforms need to upgrade the t-case, drive shaft, rear end, and rear axles, on top of everything a FWD platform would need to run. So I was estimating about 4K more than what he will put down for his build. So I was just seeing what one could ACTUALLY build it for. And yes, everyone will be different as we all have our own "connections". Guess I'll just have to build mine and see where it goes. Good thing I am going to be an engineer!

I agree you see I want to run 10s/9's ect. thread all the time. The difference is they are on there asking people what they should buy to go faster and need more guidance then a audience. I made this thread more to show people how I think you build a fast car not to ask how to build a fast car. This is not the only way or even the best way to build a fast car but this is just how I deicded to do it and for anyone that doesn't know how to do it at all maybe this will give them a better idea so they can do it their way.

Hey, don't crap up a person's thread. Don't let it even go past that comment. You want to do that, make a new thread complaining about it, and then we can delete it.

Keep it out of Slippi's thread.

No one appreciates it when someone comes in to your house and starts kicking up mud on your white couches. (We all know the Rick James line from David Chappelle that would follow the action) -- and I can say it is not cool.

Sean, are you using the 90-style straight-cut oil pump gears or the 91-99 style helical gears?

Go for it. I actually came to dsm's from the supra world. I had a 7mgte 87 supra and got tired of blowing HG's and taking off my intake manifold to change spark plugs lol. Made the swap and never looked back. These cars are def more fun to work with and tune.

I was going to go with DSS stage axles but after talking with a couple guys that have been there I just picked up a stock 4 bolt lsd rear setup. The rear and axles look to be in great shape too so I'll run them and if they break I will just convert to a mustang rear because I would be pretty mad if 1500 axles just broke.

A pipe out the front bumper with two bungs in it. One for the wideband and one for the regular o2 sensor.

Just a quick update didn't get a chance to put the rear in yet because the lift was being used for something else where my car is. I ended up selling my kirkey seat I used for mock fitting lol and bought two Corbeau seats that aren't much heavier at all and look and feel better for street driving.

Ok Sean I'am starting to think your just buying parts and just taking pics!

Start putting them on the car and go already who needs paint anyways

You started this thread in Dec and so far what we have seen is

1. parts and some more parts
2. you acting like your racing your car in your kitchen
3. some more parts
4. you tearing apart a motor in your kitchen
5. some mock up
6. and you turning the inside of your house into a shop

You have no pics of anything put together? and you know you had to clean that kitchen back up! Because if your GF would have came home and seen that

P.S. We wont show her the pics if you hurry up and get this thing done

Patience Young grass hopper

I am moving the end of this month and I took the whole week off from work. If my guy hasn't finished the paint job I'm gonna go over paint it one day come back two days later and put the harness back in mount the seats EMS and get her looking like a car not a shell. I don't have a windshield on it so I was a little hesitant on putting expensive stuff in the car not mounted for obvious reasons. I promise by the 5th there will be parts in a painted car
