1.6L of fury part 2
Got the new setup all finished up. Finished tuning late on tuesday night. Thrashed to get the car ready and up to the track last night.
Things went better than expected but not what I was hoping for. I had three passes. The first and last were clean. The second pass, came out of the hole very very hard, shifted NLTS into second gear, let the clutch out and there was no gear. Looked down, the shifter was all the way down so I pulled it in harder, nothing. Clutched in, back to first, back to second and ran the pass out hard. Would have been my best pass after feeling that launch.
The little 1.6L just does not have the balls to pull the car out of the hole. I had the slicks at 16psi. 2-step set at 4750, antilag set at 4563 with 2* retarded. Just the right combination to keep from breaking the axle again, and to hook hard. All this car can muster is a 2.0 sixty foot. It comes out really really hard, it just shows a 2.0 every time.
Three times slips looked like this.
R/T .668 .690 .770
60' 2.173 2.061 2.066
330' 5.695 6.117 5.592
1/8 8.595 9.285 8.483
MPH 86.93 79.93 86.87
1000 11.037 11.859 10.934
ET 13.131 14.019 13.025
MPH 108.59 104.16 108.40
This is a new personal best for me. I am exicted and disappointed. Maybe that next pass would have been a 12. Still respectable for a 1.6L at 5880ft.
