Befor every pass we fill the water tank (1 gal. fuel cel) with ice, and drain it after the pass. Last season I picked up .7 sec in the 1/4 (from 10.78 to 10.09) and over 10mph by going from a air to air, to the air to water. There is nothing better for cooling a forced induction cars intake temps then the air to water.

I agree with you on the benefits of liquid to air for drag racing, but as far as getting a heat exchanger for daily driving, this cannot be more efficent than a similar air to air intercooler. The air is cooling the coolant, which cools the air in the intake charge. You are effectively going through two heat exchange processes rather than one, and since neither will be 100% efficent, you will have twice the efficentcy loss as a standard air to air intercooler.
You have an amazing build though and I can't wait to see the times you put down. Hopefully your willing to make the trip to sac raceway sometime in the future so I can come and watch.

tstkl I 100% agree with you on the Air to Water vs. the Air to Air for street driving. If you have a street car, go with a air to air, but for racing, the air to water is the only way to go. As for going down to Sac. probably not this year but next year is a VERY good possibility. I wish the Battle event down ther was later this year, but we cant always get what we want.

I don't know how but I'm thinking if you could incorporate the tech used in like mini fridges to keep water say in the hatch comparment insulated you would have a really good setup for whatever kind of driving you did. I just don't know how much would be lost running lines all the way from the rear to the front of the car. You could put it in the engine compartment but it would be more trouble than it's worth but would be a bad ass intercooling system.

There is a classified section where I bet someone would probably be willing to trade but this is not that section read the rules before posting next time. Welcome to the site though.
WHere is your storage tank for the water-air and how big is it. I really like the PWR design makes install so much better than the box style.

What is that suppose to mean?
I'm sure that's because since then Mitsubishi evolved into making better awd transmission for 8-9 evo's , so there is less to improve on vs an old DSM transmission except for the subject of going straight cut dog ring to handle more power.

Well were back on the car at the shop and we decided to swap over the polk head to the SBR head today. Since the shortblock is goin on 2 1/2 years old and many many miles and hard pulls we decided to take a peak and see how she was doin. Much to out suprise the #3 main cap was just hanging out and one of the main bolts just about wiggled itself out. So, were going to be redoing the bottom end and freshining it up a little bit. Were still going for some end of the month runs. Ill keep everyone up to date. Stay tuned.
