If you had a bunch of money to play around with, what car could u make into a sleeper?

post a pic too please (if u don't have a site, go to TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting and upload it there)... don't repeat someone elses idea unless u want to list the mods you'd do.

i believe this would be the ultimate sleeper LOL

I've always liked the Smartcar mod myself. How did you manage or even think of posting this in the Custom Fabrication thread. Should be in the Hangout.

Mine. :D

When it's done this spring, my FWD will be my favorite sleeper. Totally stock-appearing TSi from the outside with quite a punch inside. Some bolt-ons will include a Supra SMIC, meth injection, an internally-gated stock-appearing TD05H turbo, ported 2G manifold with all heatshields in place, and much more "hidden" surprises.

Pics to follow once it's complete.

I like this part. :D
I had planned on using an 18G in a 14B cover with a clipped TD05H turbine, but I'm not sure if that will reach my airflow goals based on the flow limit of the TD05H turbine itself. I want this turbo to make and hold 30psi if possible. I may end up running this turbo first and seeing what happens regardless.

I'm now looking toward something with a larger compressor, and definitely a TD06 or 06H turbine. Not sure if the turbine will be clipped or not, and I'm not sure of the compressor spec just yet either. It can't have an exducer as large as a Garrett 50-trim (almost 3") or it will be too large for the TD05H compressor cover. Might play around with HX35 compressor specs, etc. It might be interesting to see what a 7-blade HX35 compressor will do in a TD05H cover when paired to Mitsubishi's highest-flowing turbine in a DSM bolt-on housing.

Dude that colt is awesome! There is one in my local junkyard, thats been sitting there for a while. I'd love to get that thing, and rebuild it.

I been going for sleeper look, stock heat shields and all... Now I've added the FMIC, and I'm hating myself. Is there really another SMIC that will bolt in the stock place that can cool as good? I dismissed the thought of a Dejon SMIC.

Oh, BTW the best sleeper I seen recently had a custom fab rear wing, and ground kit....It was all made of aluminum foil wrap...LOL I don't know what they used as a base frame but that was just too funny I wish I'd got a picture of that.

My sleeper.

How much power can a Supra smic handle?

That would be my daily driver sleeper. Primered car with the factory black paint on the roof. Primered black bumper with the paint peeling. I even have some overspray left on the taillights... when I primed it I didn't mask anything off... LONG STORY!!!
The wheels are off of a pontiac with the center caps missings. The window molding on the driver side is peeling and pulled up. The passenger side door molding is peeled in the corner. The passenger quarter panel is smacked up and rusted. And the weird shadow you see under the car is my homebuilt 3 inch side exit exhaust. Its sleeper enough to play with stage 2 srt 4's which I guess isn't to bad for the 216k thats on the stock block, trans, and turbo.

I've been to shows with my buddy who owns a super clean, white 12 second 92 tsi and ofcourse we park next to eachother with the hoods down and people say " That white ones nice but whats up with the primered one? It looks like it will creep up on you. "

^^That is sick Eclipsh... Never realized you did that to an ES. I don't really look at dsm's as sleepers because I know what they do... unless you put nt wheels and take all the badging off your car I will always wonder to myself, ok how fast is this 1g turbo here.

I'll never forget the 87 Dodge Caravan Turbo that beat my friends Mustang with a 12.1 pass.
