Yeah i just cut up the old can and reused it workes good doesnt look bad ither!

spawn87- my car is awd

The ground clearence is not a problem iv went over a bad speed bump to check out and it was fine, ill post a vid to soon as i get time to! it sounds better than before imo it lost the hollow pipe sound and like i said strangly becomes silent at 3k.

Reciently i painted the pipes black so the police wont have any question and cut the tips at an angle so blend with the bumper much better. 100+ km and its still fine hasnt hit the driveshaft or come loose. And thanks for all the comments

I love this. It looks great man. Yea.. its a looks mod. But You did it your self hell just for the challenge almost.
It really makes the car look like it belongs to the sports car family. i dig it.

I got my car with a full 3 inch turbo back greddy unit. I love the sound and the spool.. . but it still has a big round muffler hanging off the back, its not a can tip .. but i still dont like it.

I wish i could justify something like this.. but yea AWD their no way. maybe i can just move my muffler inboard some and do a normal tip. sigh: ill think of something i guess.

I usually hate dual exhaust on 4-cylinder cars, but I like this. The "subtlety" in which you have the tips appearing makes all the difference.

Plus, didn't the black 1GB Eclipse (Dan Cokic) from the Ultimate Street Car Challenge the Sport Compact Car Magazine put on a few years ago have 3.5 inch dual exhaust that was actually ... functional?

Wow... It sounds amazing. The dual setup was meant to be on the GS-Ts and AWDs. New Evos and just about ever other car on the market is running a dual system. Why shouldn't our Dsms? As long as its done as cleanly as yours, without dual watermelon launchers. Did you use an APEXi N1 or GT canister? I really like the idea of a 3k drop off you spoke of. I get to drive alot above 60mph here in Kansas, so the drone/noise is bugging me alot more than it use to. I wonder how the sound and loudness would be affected by moving the muffler closer to the engine if there is room?

Thanks for the good comments guys! never thought it would be popular.

99 GST-R: i used a cheap megan can ($150) that i had on it from before, and i could see the placement changing the exhaust sound. They probly would be room right where the cat use to be but thats right into the down pipe.
