Ive heard of some people using socks or panty-hose as a screen....just an idea, i mean they will filter at least a little better than that metal cover....
Yeah, but think of it this way, do you think a sock or pantyhose will retain anywhere near its correct shape with the suction of a turbo behind it? Even metal mesh that is not thick/stiff enough will deform when a turbo hits boost, I cant see pantyhose doing anything other than getting itself ingested into the compressor.

#### it. I give up explaining. It's not like I don't know how this shit is going to work.
These people need to realize that theres a reason your a moderator on this site. because you know what the f*** your doing. and your knowledgeable about this car and obviously others as well. lol I SAY YOU HAVE DONE A WONDERFUL JOB AND I SEE NO FLAWS IN YOUR SETUP. ESPECIALLY SINCE NOONE HAS DONE THIS BEFORE. this is a great accomplishment.

Actually, we become mods for being callous and direct. The Wisemen are the damned know-it-alls.
Paul, when will my setup be ready? I wish I had the space to run a cutout there.
Well, fluids are in. I just need to bleed the clutch, brakes, and power steering yet.
For some reason, one of my fuel pumps isn't working. It's the in-tank Wally. Worked before I re-wired it, so I'll have to take that all apart and see if I wired it wrong. Aside from that, I need to pick up a radiator cap because I've seemed to have lost mine. That and I need a 2" t-bolt clamp for one of the IC pipes, and I should be ready to fire it up.
I'll post the first start up video tomorrow night, provided I get the other fuel pump working.

Yeah, for the first time ever, we're completely sold out of all sizes other than 3.5". Go figure, right when I need one... I'll just have to run to NAPA tomorrow on my lunch break and pay twice as much as normal for a few.

Figures... How much do you pay for them?? I was debating on what i should run. I like the constants but they dont look nice... Kinda weird looking... Is it your relay that isn't giving it power??? You got them hooked up right paul lol...

I forget how much I pay for them, but it's a pretty good deal.
The relay is definitely working. I have both pumps wired to the same relay. The 044 is definitely working correctly, but the Wally seems to be mostly dead. It's impeding the flow of the 044 and causing pockets of air in the fuel line. I first noticed when I went to drain the tank a couple days ago. I just unhooked the 044 to hear the Wally run by itself and it definitely sounds mostly dead. It's not making very mush noise at all, and it's not flowing anything. At least that confirms that I wired it correctly.
It sucks to say, but I may be waiting for a replacement pump to show up before I fire this thing up. I guess I can use that time to detail the car. God knows it needs it.

Holy Shit! We just had a huge garage fire. I pulled my 255 out to test it. I had it hooked to a battery and pumping race gas out of a container, when my pyro roommate lit a small puddle on fire about 6 feet away. Well, he didn't realize that there was a small stream on the ground running all the way to the container I was testing with. It was roaring in seconds, and after our first attempt to put the fire out, the container spilled and the fire was huge at that point. Burnt up my bench a bit, lost two hoodies trying to put it out, burned up a spare car battery, etc... I lost some hair on my right arm and at one point I had to put out a small fire on my driver's side fender as well. The Wally pump is definitely dead now - it was at ground zero. I no longer have a fire extinguisher out here after a buddy "borrowed" it and never came back. I had to haul major ass to the house and grab the 100 ft garden hose and haul ass back to the garage. My heart is still racing. Thank GOD i have a 100 foot hose and I just hooked it up yesterday. It was fully extended to reach the fire.
Could have been much worse. We got lucky this time.
Moral of the story: NEVER test fuel pumps with your pyro roommate in the same room. And always keep a fire extinguisher in the garage.

We were seconds from taking the car off the jack stands and pushing it out. I didn't want to give up on putting it out though. If the hose wasn't hooked up, I would have been screwed. It would have taken 30 seconds to find it and hook it up in the dark.
And the burn mark rubbed off on my fender. Got really lucky.

Great patience, great fab, excellent sticktuitiveness!!
My only reservation is the small, asymetrical 7cm Mitsu housing on the primary. I have no doubt it will work, but I also am not sold on the fact that that wee housing can flow enough exhaust for 600hp.
Very cool tho, props!!
