I am putting a 6 bolt in my car and have a question. What do I do with the map sensor on the top of the intake manifold. Please do not tell me to do a search or send me a link to RRE. I have already done a million searches and have checked the Faq. I just want to know what you guess have done. Some people tell me to leave it plugged in and not mounted. Others say to tap into the manifold and others say to tap into brake booster line. Want to know what has worked well for you. Thanks

Tee it off some vacuum line and have it dangle.

That's what I'm doing and I've got over 4k on my sixbolt swap since this summer with no issues other than random misfire which has nothing to do with the map sensor.

The brake boost line is way too big, IMO... Tee it off one of the emissions lines that send boost/vacuum. I forget which one on the 1G throttle body does it off hand, I'm sure a search can reveal which one does easily.

I was thinking of teeing it off the Brake Booster line. This way I could connect the hose around the larger part of the sensor where the o-ring is. Then I could put a small hose clamp around it to hold it on.

The MAP sensor is used as a backup if the MAF fails. It will run in a limp-home mod using the MAP sensor. Let it dangle or tee it off on a vacuum/boost source.
