I'm pretty sure I threw a rod in my 1g, so I'm planning to go ahead and install some forged rods while it's out getting repaired. I know it's gonna vary greatly between shops but roughly how much $$ am I looking at in labor to get this done?

There is no 1 answer but its going to be pretty damn expensive :(

If you spun a rod you need to pull the motor which most places charge a bit under 1k for. Then you either need to throw a new shortblock in there or get the block and crank machined. You would more than likely need at least 1 new piston but depending on how bad it is you will more than likely have to bore it out and go with the next size up pistons. Since you have everything apart you should go with a new HG, oil pump with Bshafts removed, and ARP head studs. In parts alone you could be looking at 2k then add labor on top of that which could easily be another 2k.

Or you can cut corners and end up doing it twice trust me.

Damn. :( I hope it's not that much.

I already have JE forged pistons, block bored .020 over so I can't go any bigger. Already removed the bshafts and replaced the oil pump last time I rebuilt it.
