I have heard this before, but I was wondering if it was true that if you install an H.I.D. kit on a 95-99 Eclipse because the headlights are made of plastic (correct me if I'm wrong) for example, that eventually the headlights will melt because of the intense heat the H.I.D. produces. Also there is some rumor that you can buy a glass inner coating to protect your headlights from melting. I know for a fact though that cars in Japan like the Lan Evo 7 or the 98 Spec Integra R have glass headlights to prevent such melting.

There are people that have HID on many cars with plastic housing with no problem. In fact there some dsms that have HID on for a couple years with no issues.
