alright i did this a while back but i have a question about it. on a 2g, the stock SMIC has a black piece in front of it that almost looks like it forces the air directly into the intercooler. but also it blocks airflow to the WHOLE intercooler. so i took mine out a while ago not even thinking how it could force the air into the intercooler. i also made the vents in the wheelwell (behind the intercooler) bigger. now who thinks this black piece is more effective on? off? or doesnt make a difference?

I tried both ways and I felt butt dyno that with it on it's better. I had best results with it on there and a screen put in the wheel well behind the intercooler. Or ... upgrade to a front mount ;)
