I just got my engine back together and had some machine work done on it and they said i could rev it to about 9 grand without any problems. My question is how would you go about rasing the rev limiter and also it is on an auto, so how would the trans take that? Thanks in advance

That was a lovely thing for them to say. Do you have breathing and fuel mods that'll support that? 7000 is more than you need. Do everything a favor, and don't ever go looking for that WAG 9000.

Still on stock injectors but have a walbro 255 and a safc2 with a 1st gen head swap and intake.

why dont people just get to the point on here. First off you need dsmlink to raise the rev limiter. 2nd if you do not have a big enough turbo and cams there is no point in spinning the motor that high in the rpms. So dont do it stay with 7grand.

Nothing is done to the head. its just a stock 1st gen head. Also i am getting a bigger turbo and cams come spriing time and i was just planning ahead.
