I just ran a compression test on my 97 gsx and got 176 176, 175, 175. I thought out of the box they are only 180 - 185 .... damn I am very happy with how this car is holding up with 60k on it. :thumb:
 
My 2G Talon I got checked at 170psi across the board with 130K on it. I was damn pleased, and to boot the endplay was in specs. Holy effing shizat Batman, a 7 bolt that hasn't crankwalked!!! :D
 
Actually 'out of the box', 2g's are @ 178psi and the service limit is 133. So those numbers are looking real nice :)

one thing to note though, the stock compression for an NT is higher than that of a turbo charged system.

where do you measure the endplay? Do you have to drop the trans and measure from that side or can you measure it on the pulley side while doing a timing belt change for example?

I personally measured mine on the pulley side last time i did a belt change. My #'s happened to fall right in the middle of the spec range, so I'm assuming that is a correct way of doing it.

one thing to note though, the stock compression for an NT is higher than that of a turbo charged system.

I know it's higher, it typically runs around 215 psi per cylinder.
