Coolant temp switch... The one in the radiator, or one of the two in thermostat housing? The one in the radiator controlls the electric cooling fan relay. One of the two in the thermostat housing controlls the guage in the pannel, the other one gives the ECU an engine temp indication for fuel curves and cold starting. If you have removed the EGR system you could remove the Thermostatic vacuume switch and put your aftermarket guage probe there. All this info is for a 1G 4G63 motor
