Ok I have everything now and I was wondering if upgrading my intercooler will even be worth it. Ive got a ported EVO III exhaust mani with ported FP Big 28, 2.5 turbo back, dejon intake with FPIK, Solid intercooler pipes with 1g bov. I should be getting my fuel pump soon and I have a profec-b but I havent put it in yet. Would upgrading my intercooler be benefical or no? I know about bigger side mounts and I dont think a front mount would be needed because Im not doing the fuel system. What do you guys think? Also when everything is in how much boost would be safe? Its at 10 right now. Would my elevation effect it at all? Im up at around 5,000. Ok so my questions were bigger intercooler, yes or no? How much boost would be safe? Thanks in advance guys:thumb:

*shrugs* you can get a supra sidemount if you have money buring a hole in your pocket.

otherwise, youre fine.

Well Im not in a hurry to upgrade but would it even be worth it is what I want to know? But if it is worth it then where would I go about finding one? Is there a shop that carries them or do I need to surf the supra forums?

You can search Supra forums but ebay has them pretty frequently. That's where I got mine from.

Now what I need to know is will it help with the setup I listed? Or is it just money wasted?

I also need to know about the amount of boost once everything is on, like I said in my first post. And a new question- Should I wait till spring to put everything on or would it even matter? The winters are pretty cold here with lots of snow. Thanks in advance for the help.

First things first. Of course it will help. The cooler the intake temps, the more power is made and the less likelihood of detination. Plus, if you have the fuel for it, you can run more boost than would have been possible on the stock sidemount. You also won't have to worry as much about heat soaking it, like what can happen to the stock one.

As far as how much boost you can run, you need a logging device to tell you that. Start off with a low boost setting and log a run. Check to see how your timing is, are you getting knock, etc. Tune appropriately and maybe turn up the boost slightly and repeat the process.
It's stupid to set your boost to a certain level just because someone thinks you should be able to run it. Every engine and setup is different.
I'm not trying to sound like a jerk. I just don't want you to make a mistake that will cost you more in the long run. Be smart about it, is all I'm saying.

I JUST bought my pocketlogger software so I should have it by next week. So Ive got that covered.

How much would I be looking at spending for a supra SMIC? Ill check out ebay but Im just looking for a ball park figure. Thanks for the help VB.

I think thats a bit much. Take your time finding one. I've seen them go from $175-$200(higher demand now). It took me a while to get mine(price shopping). It's up to you but I wouldn't I personally wouldn't pay more than $200(give or take). Since there's no rush, take your time and you'll find one.

Yea Im in no hurry to get it on because its snowy hear so no racing till spring. Thanks for the advice though.

go to adfxracing.com their super sidemount intercooler outflows supra sidemounts and is on 305 brand new.

later tater:p

I want to see some flow rates. It just says "and yes it outflows the supra sidemount". Its a good lookin piece though, I would be very interested.
