ok as some of you may know, i plan on buying a 1g awd in the near future. anyway, i was bored as hell at work tonight and started writing a list of various mods i want to get for the 1g. i plan on dragging it on the weekends and drifting it from time to time. all i want to know is how this setup sounds so far and what needs to be changed (added or taken out), and what brands i should use if the ones i specified arent good enough.

HKS Filter
HKS Turboback Exhaust
Boost, EGT, and A/F gauges
APEXi SAFC
APEXi Turbo Timer
APEXi AVCR
ACT 2600
Lightened Flywheel
Shortshifter
Sparco Seats
4pt Harnesses
CF Hood
Tein Coilovers
Tein EDFC
Intercooler Techniques Sprayers
FMIC
Plugs and Wires
Forged Internals
Roll Cage
HKS FCD
APEXi N1 Downpipe
Koni Struts
Strut Bars
Sway Bars
Holley 255 LPH Forced Induction Fuel Pump
Volk TE-37's

thanks for any and all help everyone. sorry if this is a noob question:dsm:

its not hard to surf dsm sites and write down one of everything and make a list and say im getting this........everyone and their mother does it, why do they feel they need to post it

you dont even have the car yet

maybe i'm dumb but i didn't see a turbo on that list

are you keepin the 14b which can make a lot of power with good spool

or did you neglect to mention, if so i recommend the AGP SS44 (search for lr1 for more info)

Power equal to 20g with spool at 3000-3100

thats the shit i was forgetting. what would be a good turbo upgrade for a track/drift gsx? and to loreak, its called i was bored at work and i was planning for what i want to do when the time comes. last time i checked that was still allowed:dsm:

AWD and Driftin really dont mix you will get way to much grip if you try to turn your car sideways. The only thing i could think is you somehow can adjust your wheel bias to make about 80% RWD and 20% FWD:dsm:

As for the turbo your gonna need something with a massive topend yet quick spool which is a ball-bearing turbo check ForcedPerformance, AGP, & SlowBoyRacing:dsm:

you are complaining about rim prices when you have 7 grand in parts above? I hope you have a good job and no wife.

Forget the drifting pal, it just not happining. You would need so much power to get those wheels turning and even if you obtained the power then you would just start breaking stuff. DSMs are gold on the 1320 and auto-x tracks and thats about it.

do not buy that huge piece of crap hks filter..i have the mega filter that was on the car when i bought it and all i can say is its crap..toooooo big to manouver around when taking the filter off..you practicaly have to take off your uicp first..second the filter is junk too,i would just go with a nice cone k&n..my hks filter is so brittle and rotten that pieces fall off when i touch it..theres always replacements but why?..so itll do it again?,..and for the price..

JUST DONT DO IT..LOL

.

that is the turbo you definitely want to look at, it has massive top end power and spools REAL quick. It was designed with street performance and auto-x in mind

I just stated my opinions by editing your quote check it out. Secondly if you have any questins feel free to pm me I came from the exact same place as you(hence the name that is almost the same as yours) and I think I would be able to help you with some of you questions as to what to do.

As for the people saying you can't drift an awd, you are fwd so don't speculate on an awd drift set up(not meant to be rude but I found it funny taht both people sayin drifting an awd were actually fwd) anyway I drift my car all the time. I use my stock rims with some beat up tires on them and I can get my car semi sideways, nothing like a 240sx or an ae86 but I can get the back end out a bit. It just takes some practice and balls becuase one mistake and the awd is going to teach you a lesson.

Which you _can't_ do with a DSM drivetrain. They're 50/50, and they're gonna STAY that way until someone in the train loses traction.
