ok guys im trying to figure out what engine manegment system to go with. i have heard so much about so many things that i dont know whats what. i have a new built top to bottom 6 bolt motor going into my 98 GSX i have all the suporting mods and a t3/t4 60 trim big wheel on the way. who is using what on what cars? please the more info the better!

I'm currently running Haltech E6k on my 91 GSX. The best way for you to figure out what you want to run on your car as far as stand alone goes is to do research. Everyone will tell you something different about different systems. My personal experience with Haltech has been really good.

thank you for your info. i have been doing research but im looking for hands on experiance from people who know. not what the company says

I run Autronic SMC on my car. I've heard lots of bad things about Haltech (sp?), but I have no personal experience with them. From what I've heard, its an antiquated system with no US support. The Autronic has tons of local support, but still looks like it belongs in DOS at times. If I could have gotten a deal on AEM like I did on my Autronic setup, I would have probably gotten one of those. Very cool interface, very powerful, almost too many options

ok kewl thanks alot i am gettings my AEM EMS installed and tuned for 1800 i dont know if that is a good price or pretty much the runnig rate that if i go with AEM.

What exactly would you like to know about Haltech? What do you mean when you say "what the company says" Good luck with your AEM EMS purchase. :)

you should get whatever you local tuner (or you?) is more familiar with...most systems on the market will get the job done in the hands of a good tuner

^ that's why i bought the afc instead of the hks afr, because it's better to settle for something that may be a little less than what you want if you have access to enough other people with working knowledge of the product. yeah, not the same thing you're talking about, but the idea is the same

First of all, such advise should vary greatly between 1G and 2G… There are components and advises between 1Gs and 2Gs that are interchangeable, engine management is NOT one of them!

With out a doubt, DSM Link is THE choice for most 2Gs!!! Especially now, that they have just released the V2, a very good system became even better!
