Turbo Timer install

Well that led to instrutctions on how to instal a MBC, maybe useful later though. I did go to the homepage, tried the link to the Canada Club DSM andcouldn't get through there either, that's were the VFAQ for the install is located. O well, guess I'll just have to start drinking, what a bummer.

Well got the harness connected, now I still have the rpm wire and hand brake wire. And guess what , HKS forgot one of the extensions. Not a problem though, I can just splice with normal radio wire. Anyone know were the rpm signal and hand brake wire go. That sites still down and I can't find a diagram online to save my life.

I am trying to install an HKS Type 1 in my '92 Talon TSI and I have connected with the harness but I am looking for those wires as well as the speed sensor wire.
I have found no information online as to which wires on which connectors to splice into.

My HKS Type-1 Came with pics of the wire harness and told which ones to tap into.

What part are you having problems with? I was able to get it installed and configured and mounted in about 1 hour... email me if you want help and I can get some pics for you as well....

I just installed my HKS type-0 w/ harness yesterday, took about an hour and a half, mostly because iwas just trying to figure out where the RPM sensor wire was, but once i found it it was a breeze:cool: i like the timer alot and am pleased with its performance thus far:thumb:

newb question, what would be the best for a 95 tsi fwd 5spd only for a t25 right now.. just something basic that has good quilty and is very cheap.

Remove the trim panels around your hand brake and you'll see a single wire running to it (it's green with a red stripe). That's your hand brake wire. If you're unsure, just grab a multimeter and check for continuity between the wire and ground while the parking brake is up. When the parking brake is down, it should give you an open circuit. You can tap the rpm signal off of the ecu harness. Use the crank angle sensor. There's an ecu pinout diagram at:

i installed my greddy TT and ran out of daylight so i am hooking the speed wire up later. it says in the greddy manual to tap into the vehicle speed sensor (VSS), which is pin 86 on the ecu. are either of these acceptable? or will one not work as opposed to the other? thanks

Adam
