Hi there can someone tell what is maximium amount of boost that I can get out of a small 16G with out hurting the turbo?
By he way Istill have the stock exhaust system and know that I shouldnt turn up the boost.
My seting now is a mere 12psi but I would like to know how far could I go with this small 16G when I upgreade my exhaust.:thumb:

A 16g shouldn't be run at more than about 24 psi. It may be capable of more than this, at least for a short amount of time at lower rpm's, but that is about the maximum that would be beneficial.

This is so not advanced.

Whoa ok am not realy thinking of geting that far but thanks for the info!

I think that it should be noted that you can run that much boost, only with proper intercooling/piping. You certainly would NOT want to run that much boost through the stock stuff. It would just be too hot and you'd end up losing power. I'm pushing 15psi with a big16G and by 3rd gear the stock intercooler is heat soaked and I start getting knock/timing retard.

Or maybe I'm just stating the obvious. :p

HEHEHEHE the same thing hapens to me.
My stock intercoler gets as hot as hell after 2 or 3 consecutive runs at the track!!

I can't believe I did something that stupid?

Thanx Matt:thumb:

if i were you i would get a nice flowing exhaust hooked up and quick because running even 12 pounds on stock exhaust isnt good dont be in a rush to get high boost. plus i hope you have the fuel pressure to match it.
