Different Alternators ??

I ordered an alternator off dsmtrader. It took forever to arrive and now the shop says it won't fit. Now, I specifically told it was a 4g63 alternator for a 2g. What the hell could've gone wrong ? Are there different types of alternators for the 2g or are these a**holes just playing with me ?

It could be the Canadian one which puts out more power since they have day time running lights but it should still fit.

No... it's another shop, they got me towing for cheap

I'm trying to figure that out myself. It just has to be reassembled but the shop needs a free lift.
