Toronto,
Hello all,
I've read that some people have set up a Co2 sprayer system, whereby Co2 is sprayed onto the fins of the intercooler to drastically reduce the temperature on FMIC setup's. Has anyone ever heard of this on a SMIC setup?

Yeah it will work just the same as a front mount. I woould try and get a kit with selenoids and a switch, instead of the one where you just open the bottle and do it manual.

Yes, it will work but why not save that money and add some more to it and buy a FMIC that will be more efficient than your SMIC?

You will see a larger gain in HP from spraying a SMIC because the SMIC is working a lot harder than a FMIC. I have a intercooler sprayer in my stock SMIC and love it! feels like spraying nitrous!

and as for why??

Up here in Canada, its at least $1200 or $1300 for a fmic, mostly alot more. And after shipping, handling, taxes etc, its way more.

So yea we are gonna keep it cheap if we can.

And if you do this on every mod, you save tons and can actually do the other mods.

I think next summer I will do the smic sprayer with co2.
