Here it goes and my story
Need 12 sec car, prefer low, my friend up here in tampa is running a 12.349@111 on a 16g 6cm housing, yes its FWD, dont ask how...thats is on lsd and stock cams btw...anyway, here is my setup (could have forgotten something)

kyb agx shocks and springs
carbon fiber hood
apexi autotimer
short shift
dejon uip to tb
greddy large fmic
injen intake
vdo boost and egt
apexi safc
turboxs dual stage controller
walbro 255lph pump
yokohama avs intermediate 225/50/16

ported 2g manifold

i look at dsmtimes, research what turbo is running what (yes i know it varies on supp mods) anyway, some more info would help, i try and read as many forums and stuff everyday, ask around how everything is going but it varies so much...i would PREFER but not necessary to keep it internally gated for money purposes...anyway just dump whatever u think

o yea, i would like to stay on the stock block...a rod flyin through my engine bay = bad bad
i think the limits are around 400whp on stock right? correct me if im off

Do you have a price range? You could do a Big16G-7cm^2 on the low budget side, or with more money I could recommend 20G-7cm^2, ETE32, FP Green, or AGP L2R. Those are just a few I could name but there are so many more to choose from. I this going to be a daily driver? Is a 12 sec. car your ultimate goal or would you want more down the road. IM or PM me sometime I would like to know more about your plans.

i thought the limit was 400bhp (crank) for the 2G -- which is less WHP with the obvious drivetrain losses.

1G 4G63 can take more abuse though...

someone please clarify
 
Get a L1, L1R, L2 or L2R if you want to be king.... all are available with an internal gate......

L2R has gone 11's so far without breaking a sweat, should be intersting to see how a friend's car (that has one) does tonight.... although his car is in desperate need of tuning.

i heard that the 34mm internal gate dont b able to handle an l2...am i misinformed?

Yeah... now I just gotta figure out which car do I want to take up there... the slow one with AC, or the fast one without :p

Tempted to take the "mutt killer" out for a spin.
 
wont it creep bad? i mean a 50 trim wheel on a 34mm gate isnt the best combo in the world...im talkin about the L2...i know the r spins faster but the L2 would b fine with me, im broke as it is LOL...anyway i know muttz use 39 and everything else of that caliper uses externals...am i missing something?
 
I've been told that on 1 car with an L2R internal. The boost was at 20psi and creeped from 20 to 21 at 6800rpms in third.

There have been 2g that have made upto 500hp on the stock internals.

500? omfg LOL...i think ill go with the l2...for 1k it comes with the oil lines :)
btw im putting that weldo crap on my motor mounts..ill let ya know how it comes out they say its as good or better than inserts

It is designed to bolt to your stock manifold and 02 housing. No custom manifold needed.
 
good choice on the turbo.. I still want to know how yer friend is running 12.349@111 in FWD.. I remember talking to you on AIM before about it.. thats some sick driving he does apparently
 
The FWD guy who just ran 12.3 on the internal gate L2R. Said it was super easy and the car has a lot more in it. And that's on street tires:) He seems to be a hell of a driver. I bet he can tweak some 11's out of it eventually. Not bad for a 2g FWD on street tires.
