I am interested in both turbos and was wondering what some of the differences are. Also looking for some personal experiences with them and do they creep internally gated.

I thought the Green was a had a 50 trim wheel? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

To date the Green has pretty much blow away just about all the popular bolt on hybrids, L2r's, Mutts....ect Im sure the PTE 50 is a good turbo, HELL i own one. However im not sure the PTE housing is the Holy Grail of bolt on hybrid Turbine housings:thumb: Its just super cost effective and will put most of us where we need to be.

I probably isn’t, but isn’t it based on a 7cm^2 Mitsu housing, or the very same housing that is used on most Green Turbos? I happen to think that 7cm^2 housings (and all of thier copies) must be pretty good if Buschur can make over 600hp on them…

could you fill me in on why you think the green is better than an L2R? Not saying you're wrong, I just want to know why.

Makes more power on pump gas at boost levels under 26 psi. Also a ported 7cm mitsu turbine housing is not the best place for a 10 blade GT30 turbine wheel. Im sure those who still offer this combination will chime in and disagree. In the classic dsmtuners promote your dsm shop fashion.

Wasn't the L2R an AGP specific turbo?? Also - its not on their site anymore -unless i'm blind - so wouldn't that be a good indication that it didn't pull its weight??

Is the VPE 30 same thing maybe??

none of those L turbos are on the site anymore, only the L1R seems to be, but its under the guise of a new name. I suspect the L2 and L3R are under redesign of some sort. Maybe they are ditching the cast mitsu turbine housings for a custom one like FP did with the FP30s...
