I just installed a 16g. Problem I have is compressor surge at low rpm's. No matter how hard or soft I set the Greddy S, I get C surge at low rpm's any suggetions would be appreciated thanks

Do you get any kind of "blow off" or is it all surge? How much boost are you running? How do you have the vac line routed for the bov? Are you Using the lower nipple on the Type S at all?

I get blow off pretty much, its at low rpm's that I get the compressor surge. I'm at 15 psi, thats as low as my jpmbc will let me go. I have the vac line routed from the stock position, with the MBC t'ed into it. With the T25 I had the lower nipple connected to turbo housing now it's just open not connected to anything.
I have the BOV set as soft as it can go and I'm still getting surge but not much, the only problem with that is it doesn't hold 15psi it spikes and drops faster.

You don't HAVE to use the lower nipple... but if you tap it into the lower IC piping (pre intercooler) it will help with compressor surge.

By the way, how old is the BOV? It took mine about a week to break in fully... untill then it was very stiff.

Have you checked for boost leaks, and all the normal stuff, so that you know you have an air-tight connection? are you venting the bov, or is it returned into your intake path?

It's about a year old. It's venting back like stock. How do you tap into the LICP. With my T25 I had it open for a while then I connected it to turbo housing nipple and I noticed a better response in opening and closing so I think I need to find a place to connect it. I know I need to pressure test the system but I just haven't gotten around to it. I don't have a good air pump to use. I have the 12v lighter connection one it killed my battery when I used it the first time when I had the T25 on. Where I did the install I ran out of time to do a pressure test.

Best thing to do, is to take the LIP off, and to a shop that can weld in a little "nipple" for you to use, do NOT use the screw in kind, as they leak.... be sure to weld.

As far as the pressure test... you might want to check around. I know one local picked up one of the 10 gallon portable air tanks for $15 at Target, and then went to a gas station and filled it up to 90psi. That was good enough for a pressure test on his car.
