I just bought a stock 1992 gsx and it is running at 14 psi. I didnt think 14 psi was stock, i was thinking it ran 7-9 psi stock. Is 14 psi stock?

Was 14 recorded from the stock guage or did you put an aftermarket boost guage on? The stock guages arent accurate at all. They dont even measure actual boost.

My stock gauge doesn't have numbers, only + and - so i would assume it was probably an aftermarket but i have a 2g so maybe the gauges are different

????? your right the stock gauge does have + and - so its a no brainer to assume its an aftermarket gauge. Have you checked your car for a boost controller???? Do you know if its a bar or psi gauge???

ok, you have a 2g which has no numbers, he has a 1g which has numbers, albeit they are inaccurate. DSM8U you're probably boosting at 11.5 PSI which is stock, unless the previous owner pulled the BCS, then you'd be running around 14. Get an aftermarket boost gauge, because the one in the 1g and the 2g are just toys. It doesn't measure actual pressure, it takes the signal from the MAS. Bottom line, the stock gauge is a POS, disregard anythign it tells you.
