for 900 plus shipping i would just got with the RnR Race Core kit for 950 bux. better fmic, better piping, and probally some better performance too.

I would like to know about the dejon as well ..... but whats the deal with having to "relocate" some sort of powersteering line ...

and how can you get 950$ for the RNR race core kit... the webpage advertises 1050 just for the basic kit. Is there some sort of inside deal that i dont know about ?

Just keep in mind if you order something from RNR expect at least 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.. I was considering a FMIC from them but until i get my 3" O2 eliminator downpipe (still waiting since 5/30/03) im not placing another order for anything...

if you want a quick fmic www.speedforceracing.com will make one quick. 2 weeks. there 2g kit will be out in a matter of days. you may get the first kit. i think they ask 1050 for powdercoated piping. 1150 for polished piping. check out thier site look at contact us and give tim a call. tell him you want a Spearco 2-216 Race Core Kit for a 2g (95-99) Eclipse. he'll tell you the rest.

Yeah, buy it from speed force racing for well over a grand, support the biggest thief in the dsm world, and then probably never get a kit, and if you do, it will be substandard. Fantastic, or get it for 960 from RNR.....tough call there.

Also with Dejontool they will powdercoat the pipes any color you want, where the RNR is black:(
Also the dejon "race" core is bigger than the RNR street core you guys are comparing it too.

They are both good companies, but Dejon is just more affordable and the powdercoating is nice. And I am going to get the GM mas conversion at the same time so that they custom make my ic pipes for it. For $1300 I can get their race core FMIC, complete polished pipe kit, 3.5" GM mas, and Ramchargers translator. Cant beat that.

Thats the same setup I'm going with also.

RNR is 3.5 inches thick instead of 3....thats about 15% more volume....and its spearco. Easy choice....

Ok Im not sure which IC you are talking about costing $960, but Ill assuming you are talking about their 2g "Race" core, which is 28” long, 10.5” tall and 3.5” thick. And the actual price is $1050+150 for polished pipes+50 shipping= $1250

Now the dejon race fmic is 28"wide x 10.5"hi x 3"thk. So Dejons is the same length and height, just .5" less thick. Now lets add up the Dejon price
$699 for the core with endtanks
$125 for the Upper IC pipes
$75 for lower ic pipe.
$7 shipping
That is $906 including polished pipes shipped.

A wopping $344 cheaper than RNR, I dont feel .5" thickness is worth $344...

I was comparring the 1g Race kit, your right, the 2gkit is significantly more expensive.

Nevertheless, I would never run anything but a spearco core. if you can find it cheaper elsewhere, do so, but run spearco....IMHO

Yeah, if I had a 1g I would get the RNR race kit, do you happen to know what brand core dejon uses on their 2g race kit?

Um, rnracing is all spearco, I ####ing installed one a few days ago. Manny, shut up.

Sean

EDIT: I have nothing against DSR cores, merely annoyed at blatantly wrong information.
