I just put in my Auto Meter boost gauge and Turbo XS boost controller.

The Auto meter gauge reads 8-9 psi but the stock gauge reads 12-14psi

I know the stock is unreliable when the boost is raised but is it that bad? I dont know if it is or if my other gauge is leaking somwhere. I wanted to raise it to arould 13-14, but I'm leaving it where it's at until I know it is working.

stock gauge is a POS all around......

check ur vacuum lines if u want. whats does ur vac read at warm idle?

mine is very close, up to where the stocker runs outta room.

I'd check all your connections (air piping not electrical) for leaks, kinks etc.

Also make sure you get your guage tee'd off an intake manifold source on the engine side of the throttle body. A good place is the fuel pressure regulator vaccum hose. It is near the brake master cyl.

Which hose is the fuel pressure regulator vaccum hose? Mine has a big hose and a small hose. The small hose is conntected to the regulator. Is that the one I should use?

I got the gauge working with the fuel pressure hose, but now when I reach my max boost my head lights & interior lights flash.

I found the problem. One of my battery cables was loose. Whoever had this car before me didnt do much work on it. The metal connector was almost broken in half.

This has nothing to do with this forum but I today I saw the dumbest thing I've ever seen done on a car. Someone had a PT Cruiser with a huge aluminum wing on top of the car. It had to be at least 2 feet high.
