This guy just told me that if i want a get more fuel to my motor out of a stock pump to change my fuel filter and put a k and n fuel filter on instead ???? he said that the factory one flows 2 liter per hour where as his k and n filter flows 10 liter per hour!! Is this worth the change and is there a big difference??? Thanks o h and he said something a bout a 3/8 size??? or something maby thats the size of the new one???

No i know the pump can flow what ever but he says the filter is very restrictive! So he put on a kand n filter and it flows better. He has a factory pump and runs 13.2 he must know a little bit!!

u better watch who you talk to like that ive talked to fourg63 97gst a lot on plenty of forums and he does know a lot so watch who your talking to, he is right it flows 100-120lph and if you really want to know if a new filter makes a difference, TRY IT

never trust "that guy". whether "that guy" is a moronic friend, your dad, or you saying its someone else to cover ur ass so u dont look stupid....they are always wrong.

so I wouldn't take his advice.
and if you find a K&N fuel filter for a Talon you can try it if you want
Wow that post was just awful. If you actually read his post he was talking about the fuel FILTER not the pump. K&N makes a very popular replacement filter that requires switching over a section of your fuel line to braided stainless steel hose

Or what? In this case he is completely off base. Happy is talking about Filters and Four is talking about fuel pumps.

Speaking of "that guy". Does you post have ANYTHING to do with the topic of fuel filters?

Happy your friend is right the stock fuel filter is VERY restrictive. I just replaced mine this weekend with a Russell filter and –6 hose. But you don’t have to worry about your fuel filter becoming a restriction until you are making over 450 wheel hp. Its silly to replace it on a near stock car. You money could be better spent elsewhere.

1) The fuel filter is restrictive. The question is not "is it", the question is it "too restrictive". In your case Happy, no its not. Unless you are already running 12's, the fuel restriction caused by the fuel filter isn't the biggest worry on your list. However changine a dirty filter to a clean one will help no matter how fast you go.

2) "your guy" did not go 13.2 JUST BECAUSE he changed the filter.

3) read www.vfaq.com to find all about our cars, some cheap modifications, and some really good information. This includes a big section of fuel pumps and filters and mods to get them to perform better.

4) Thread closed.
