Swapping MAS??

Ok is there any way i can swap the mass air so i can run a regular LIP. type filter. Say a mas off a mustang and then cut the wires find out what there for and plice them in. Has anyone done this?

you would have to go with something like the MAF translator and use a gm maf. You can't just swap air metering devices straight up. the ecu is set up for the mas you have.

Check out www.dejontools.com for the GM MAS and converter kit for the 1G. It's about $400 total for more airflow and they say it can adjust fuel curves and eliminate fuel cut also. Some guys on this site have purchased the kit with mixed but decent results. I'm gonna try it because of the cost vs VPC, Haltec etc...
