The South,
ok, its me being dumb again and i'm sorry but , i still 100% don't get the Wastgate and O2 dump to atmosphere thing..If you have an o2 dump, can you still have an Ext WG on the manifold? or do you put a WG where the dump is? (this would be for a Externally gated turbo). I'm a Real confused kid. please someone get me all cleared up and IN DUMMY TERMS. thank you in advance.

the o2 dump is for internally gated turbos...when it releives boost it is either routed in the exhaust or dumped by an o2 dump. if you get an externally gated turbo, youll either need custom rerouting or a seperate(better) exhaust for the wastegate. Im not 100% sure on all of this, so someone correct me if im wrong

An external waste gate by definition is a dump. You can mount the external gate either on the o2 housing or on the manifold. most dump tube o2 housings are for internal gates.

Concluded: the o2 is part of the exhaust that takes car of the wastegates dump. it either goes into the exhaust or has a seperate tube welded on, in addition to where the rest of the exhaust gasses go, which will dump it into our pretty clean air and make one hell of a noise!! Or you can get an exterbal gate, which doesn't need a dump, because it is a dump in itself as jdm said, mounted usually on the #1 runner or on the o2 (which is probably better). I hope I didn't just ramble, and I made a little sense...
