Well i was told and have read that several time that the 2G Bypass is Trash. So i would like to upgrade. Now since im pretty damn New to DSM's i want some input before i step into it.

Well i just would like to know of any brands ETC that you are a good product or sound bad ass, Dont get me wrong im not the type that drives around and Blow off like im some bad ass:p But i was looking in to Turbo Xs type-h RFL but i hear that its really leaky?

So does anyone Have Personal Experiance with Turbo XS BOV?

and if so could you Give me some Info if you liked it, Leaks, ETC

I'm using an uncrushed 1g bov and that is one loud mofo. I'm routing back in cuz i have an auto tranny but everytime i get off the gas even if i'm not boostin that much i can still hear it. And i've been told that others can hear it too outside the vehicle. If u want some cheap for now until u get into some serious modding, get a 1g off ebay or something.

Well i was looking Into the Turbo XS Type-H RFL but i see that they dont have any addaptors and that you must weld them in, or i belive so and i dont want that weld it on the UICP if thats the case!! But i alos have been looking into the Type S

ANyone have and like their Type S

1. Hows there performance
2. Hows the sound

Same goes if anyone has the Type H-RFL

There is the performance penalty of having to carry the extra $150 around with you, but one run to an Indian Casino can tune that out.
True, it is better to always park the car with the hood up so others can gasp in admiration- 1 in 5000 might know what a BOV is. The coming trend in translucent CF hoods will help to alleviate the pesky task of either pulling the hood open yourself, or installing hydraulics to open it while the turbo timer runs its course. And more noise is good to help combat the money spent on an upgraded sound system, modern music can be so distracting.
I don't know, some people want to dick around with their cars like they're buying trinkets for a new golddigging girlfriend. Some just want to get in and DRIVE.

My cuzin got a type S on his WRX. Sounds good. Pretty loud. Can hear him shifting like a 2 blocks away if he's gunning it. But everyone has a great point. They only look good if u pull over and pop ur hood to show someone. Then again its ur choice on which way to go. 16psi and the 1g is holding up on my car. I love the sound. And my car is def not a show car so i dont mind that it looks old.

RFL's are great for Scaring the crap out of people walking down the street! WRX's might get me out of the hole but the look on their faces when I run them down is priceless.

2GStreeT ,they do have adapters kits for the Turbo XS..I'm buying one to fit the Greddy flange..I have a Type S now. It's not a bad bov, although my set screw stripped out and my diapham leaked once. But alittle thin coat of RTV took care of that leak adn I retapped the set screw hole to use a 10mm bolt.

Hey guys thanks for all the help!! Now if i was to buy the Addaptor would then it just make a BOlt on Install, Im really not into the IDea of welding on my new UICP:rolleyes:

I retract my previous post.LOL I got a lil confused on when u said type S. I was thinking of the XS type H. Thats what my cuzin got on his wrx. If you want to vent out. I would suggest either an XS or HKS bov.

2GStreeT ,Which upper ic pipe do you have? If it's flanged for the Greddy. Then get the greddy adapter. You will also have to get the 90 degree elbow regardless of which kit you get.So the whole adapter kit is around $60.

i am not fond of the turboxs valves personally
ive messed with two on my friends cars, and although they look cool and are loud as shit, the flange that attaches them to the pipe is really crappy and leaks.

i like my 1g bov, but its quiet.

thats my $0.02

I have a Stock UICP. But with the BOV purcahse im going to Upgrade on a new UICP so i didnt want to do any welding. So im hoping if i just get the Addaptor kit that i can just bult it up!!

And i have hear from people that Turbo XS leaks, and that they dont and that they do so its be a 50/50 for the RFL :-/. Would a RTV sealant or something in that matter do the trick?

bov's are more like toys than anything else. I have a 1g bov on my 2g and its pretty damn loud. My buddy has a blitz on his 2g and its just obnoxious, just too loud. No performance gain compared to my 1g just extra wasted money that can be better spend on go faster mods. Just my $0.02............
