I just ordered a set of new injectors / seals after finding a huge boost leak at the injectors. I installed a set of PTE 880cc injectors a year or so back and have not drove the car much. When I was installing the injectors I had a really hard time plugging in the Injector Connector. I had to twist the injectors backwards and sideways to plug them in.

Now that I have the injectors out I wanted to take a picture and show the problem I am having.

On the left is the PTE 880cc injector and on the right is the stock injector. You should be able to make out the clearance for the injector connector on both styles and Im hoping that you guys can see the lack of clearance on the PTE style injector.

What am I to do about this? Do I need an aftermarket fuel rail to compensate? One that does not have those extrusions right next to the injectors?

Simply turn the injector so the clip isnt on the front side of the rail. Makes for a cleaner look by hiding the injector pigtail too :D

That is how I got around it the last install, I had a really hard time with the injector near the timing belt. Because I have the stock coil pack I could not really get it back there. Did you have a similar problem?

No problems by the coil pack either. Still stock intake and coil pack placement. Here is the 2 injectors right infront of the coils by the T belt. I have both clips facing the rail bolt.

Ok, well thank you. If that is what everyone else has to do as well, I will resort back to that.
