here are a few pics. that's $2,821 sitting on my bed including the evo III ported manifold. as i said in a previous post, i'll let you all know how it runs in a couple weeks on a real-world daily driver with $14k total invested. the motor is going together next week and then a 500 mile break-in. if you have any general questions about the setup before then, background, part quality/workmanship, etc. let me know. i've talked with Robert more than a few times and think i have this thing down pretty good. now to make it run like hell. :)

I'm guessing your planning on running alot of boost :) Looks very nice. Good luck and let us know how it does ..i'm sure you will.

nice setup!
If I decide to keep my DSM I will have that turbo in my car too.

That setup is not for the buget minded DSMer.LOL!!!
:thumb:

Where are you mounting the WG? Just curious, as I have a mani mounted gate in the mail, but no dump tube as of yet..kinda also wondering where to get a dumptube at this point...thanks!

That's a perty turbo:D Good luck with it.

Lando, you can get a dump tube at buschurracing.com for like $50 or something like that. But i'm sure other places like agp, fp, etc will also sell them.

The evo3 is basically the same thing as a 2G manifold, so there's no reason it shouldn't bolt up to a 2G heatshield (assuming that's what you're using).

Hey RapedApe I have'nt seen to many people running these yet and am curious to see how it runs. Let us know what kind of spool up you get on it. You said that you are putting it on a built motor what kind of things do you have done to it, cams, head work, bottom end 2.0/2.3/2.4L? I was thinking about getting one but worried about the spool up time on it. It's a true BB so that should help some. Also are you running a MAS or MAP?

check my profile (click my name) for mod list. i will have to run a 2g mas. this turbo will overrun a 1g before 6k rpm. a 2g should get you to around 450-480 whp before it is overrun. i don't want to run a vpc yet if i don't have to.

Use the DSM Translater ! its a 3" MAF, and is better than the 2g MAS. Has its own tuning system. So no need for 2g MAS and the SAFC, un less u wanted to tune the Translater even more.

just curious, what kind of downpipe do you have and how are you going to hook it up to that O2 housing with the clamp it comes with. do you have to have some custom work to get it installed. i'm thinking about getting that same setup, but the only thing that i can't figure out is the whole downpipe connection issue

you have to make a custom downpipe. there's a flange provided that goes inside that clamp. you weld that flange to your custom downpipe and use the v-clamp to connect to the o2 housing. and build the rest from there.

Hey Raped, thought you where going to give us a review?

raped that looks like one badass setup all around you have on your car... what are you expecting to run mid to low 11s?

You are crazy to even try to run 23 PSI on pump gas. That thing has layed down over 500 WHP on a 2.3L at less than 23 PSI. Don't try it without being very careful and sneaking up on it if you love your engine at all.
