i have a little manual boost controoler, (one of those cheapos handmade ones off ebay) but anywayz, how do i put it on, what lines do i put it on
and where. the controller has two nozzles on it then the knob you twist.'
my friend has the same controller on his turbo mx6 and he raised it
to 11psi with no problem with it. so....

now , one more question, i just baught a head off of a 1G turbo eclipse
and its to go on my 2G turbo talon, DO I NEED or have to have
the 1G intake manifold and exhaust manifold, just what does it take
any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
tyson

I can help since I just installed one of those cheapy Ebay MBCs also.
The nipple pointing opposite of the knob will go to your "boost source".......either your compressor housing off the turbo or tap it into the line coming off your BOV. The nipple pointing down goes directly to the waste gate actuator.
If you need any more clarification, just ask. Good Luck.

here's a pic that should help

For the money you cant complain too much. :) Mine works fine, although I havent fine tuned it yet. My only problem if you can call this a problem is that under WOT it'll pop up to 13psi then drop to 12. I suspect if I hook it directly to the compressor housing it'll fix it. Like I said, not a big problem. I'll be tuning it for 15 psi when I get a chance.

You can get them on ebay, just do a search.

thanks you very much, thats a damn good picture to explain it.
as soon as i order my boost gauge and gauge pod ,
im putting it on.
when i put it on, SHOULD I HAVE THE CONTROLLER ALL THE WAY DOWN
in the middle or what, cuz i dont wanna put it on with the controller
down then run no boost and screw something up.
im fairly a newbie to my car so excuse whatever might sound like
a dumb question.
thanks for the help
tyson
p.s. smoked a prelude 2.2 tonight!!!!and a 89 integra twin cam gs model

i have the same type of mbc but from what i understand u should use
the compressor outlet nipple on the bottom of the turbo. depending
on what kind of mbc it is, if its the type that bleeds off pressure than
your losing valuable pressure to the bov which cant hold crap to begin with on a 2g. when i first set mine up i tapped the bov line and at high
boost in 2nd and 3rd my car shuddered like i hit fuel cut. went right
off the turbo and worked great. hope that helps.

I have one of those cheap boost controllers and I need to get a Joe P or something else cause it is holding the boost wierd. I will get like 13 in 2nd, 15 in 3rd after it spikes to like 18 then 16 in 4th after it spikes to 20!

You get what you pay for.

For $20, my buddy will make u a damn good MBC ! Its the same 1 I have on my car now. Ball and spring type, and bleed off hole. Looks exactly like the Joe P. and Hallman MBC's. I havnet had n e problems with the MBC it holds steady and desired boost, I have mine set at 14psi, and it holds ! Best $20 I ever spent

ok, update on my Ebay MBC. Like the others have said, you get what you pay for. I was running the line off of the BOV and under WOT it would go to 13 then drop to 12. I then moved it to the compressor housing, and it now does 16 under WOT then drops down to 15. And I didnt even adjust the MBC!!!! If it keeps acting funny I'll go Joe P or some name brand. I only paid 15 bucks so I'm not too butt hurt. :)

You have a PM

I bought an mbc off eBay a few months ago. IT SUCKED! Didn't work like it was supposed to. I know I hooked it up right, cuz I switched my buddies mbc for mine and it held boost at 16psi, solid.

It's true, you get what you pay for. Mine only cost $15 too, including shipping, so no biggie.
