Has anybody installed a blitz FATT DC turbo timer?
I just intsalled mine today and I am having trouble with it. I bought the harness with it. I plugged the harness into the starter coupler as the directions said. I connected all the plugs to the correct plugs. Their is a white female connecter that is just hanging and I have no idea what its for. The directions don't have any instructions for this white connecter. So I didn't contected it to anything.
Anyway, I plugged the display remote to the control module and grounded all the grounds. I checked them with a test light to see if it was a good ground and it is. Their is a purple wire that is to be either conntected to a ground wire from the parking brake wire or just grounded, but it's has to have a ground signal at all times. So, I ground the wire to a bolt that didn't have any paint on it or anything. I check the ground and it was good.
With everything connected and ready to go I tested the Turbo Timer. The turbo timer turned on fine and I set it to the manual setting. I started the car and let it idle for a while then shut off the car and pulled out the key. The damn turbo timer turned off. I even took my car for a ride to see if that was it. And the turbo timer shut off when I pulled out the key.
The directions said if the purple wire isn't grounded correctly the turbo timer will shut off when the key is taken out. So, I tried grounding to a different place and the same thing happend.
The only thing I didn't try is gounding it to the brake ground. I'm not sure where it is? Is it that green wire that is connected to the hand brake? I was too pissed off and quit for today. Any HELP would be greatly apprecitated!
Thanks guys,
DanE
Sorry for the long explanation.
