I just have a quick question about installing my greddy turbo timer. I got it all hooked up and working except for one wire. It has a wire that you can hook into the speed sensor on the ecu which allows for a lot of extra features. If anybody could tell me where exactly on the ecu this wire goes i would apreciate it. :dsm:

The speed sensor has nothing to do with the volts. That function is controlled off of the switched ignition lead, (either the blue of green wire), And if the turbo timer works the volt display will work, concidering that is the same lead that supplies the voltage to the coil of the soleniod in the timer while it counts down. the speed sensor lead is there so if the car revs while counting down then it will shut off, (second security bypass). think, if a crook bypass the ebrake feature or thinks he can just throw it in gear with the ebrake on and try to keep the RPMs up enough to get the car moving to a more convient spot, then the cars his. But if he gets up to lets say 2500 RPM, and the shit dies he looks like a fool, will probally stab your dash with a screw driver, and still what he can get, Boost gauge, fuel pressure, CDs, and go thru the console, assume he gets 400 in stuff, My exhaust cost more than that so I take that as a win for me. But only because of one little wire that cost $.30 for a tap?

To answer your question on where it goes. Look in the VFAQ.com under ECU and pin outs for your model of vehicle. takes less time to attach that then the Ebrake feature. Happy speghetti hunting mate.

As a side note, Hawaii dsm has a really good article on the t-timer install. check it out, the link is in the VFAQ somewhere, but I forget excatly, want to say electrical.

I never acctually hooked that wire up on my HKS and it sill knows from my RPM how much to count down, guess it's picking up the signal through the 12+ wire.

Drive around and see if it works or not, cause my does no prob without it being hooked up.

ummm...maybe u should read the directions that came with the timer. they supply u with one in english, and one in japanese if ur not capable of reading english.

thanks for your help. now its suposed to be pin 18 right? and the ecus under the passenger side kick. is there another way or location to tap in to it.and if not how do you tell what pinis what?

Hey Good Respons Spoolup. I couldnt have said it better.
Theres one thing that I did different that took me some research. Its the hiccup effect. what this is , is when you turn youre car to the accesories possition the timer turns on and then when you turn the car engine on the timer turns on and back off. and starts the count down and does not shut the car off but the timer shuts off. all you have to do for this, if you have this problem is very simple.
Just switch the wires. The Blue and Green wire, theres something to do with the car made here in america oppose to japan where they dont have this probelm, Im going by memory. I have all the info at home P/M if you have any questions on this.

Hope this helps anybody and saves you time.
