Thanks for all the replies about which exhaust to get. I got the thermal like many recommended and it's great. I have had a weird little running problem ever since I installed it though. My car will momentarily stutter now if I really get on it in first, and a little in second also. Third gear and up it hasn't happened. I was running a modded stock boost controller the first couple of days, and my boost was spiking to 21 and leveling off at 17. The stuttering was really bad then, but my manual boost controller was already on its way, so two days later I recieved that and put it on. While setting the manual controller up that night, I noticed if I set it at 15 psi, the stutter went away, but any higher and it came back. The more boost I set it at the worse it got. I wanted the controller set at 15 anyways, so I was happy with that. The next day while going to work, still enjoying my new exhaust, I did a holeshot at a stoplight and the stutter was back. Not much, but it still did it. I've noticed that it only happens when it's like 80 degrees + outside. I haven't looked into it too much yet, figured I'd ask here first before I spent any time on it. My mods are, open air filter, dump tube mod, uicp w/ 1g bov, 3" catback and manual boost controller. I plan on mounting the hose for the boost controller up before the throttle plate. Has anyone else done this, and how do you like it? And one more thing, if I wind the car out in 3rd or higher, by the time I hit 7000 rpms my little t-25 has worked it's way down too 11 psi. I assume that the turbo is just way too small and can't keep up, but let me know if you think otherwise. By the way, the ground is hooked up on the exhaust and I have no resistance to ground at the O2 sensor, also, the stutter is not fuel cut, I doubt the t-25 could even accomplish reaching fuel cut, and I've felt fuel cut in DSMs before, and this isn't it.

HAD EXACT SAME PROB. GET NEW PLUGS. DONT EVEN WORRY ABOUT CLEANING THE OLD ONES. I SLAPPED IN DENSO IRIDIUMS A WEEK AGO AND NOT ONLY DID IT FIX THE STUDDERING PROBLEM BUT MY CAR IDLES VERY QUIET AND REVS UP VERY VERY SMOOTH AT 15PSI. BEST PRICE I CAN FIND IS AT WWW.SPARKPLUGS.COM
$11.99EA AND DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY.

PS. STAY AWAY FROM BOSCH AND ANY DUAL OR QUAD PRONG PLUGS FOR OUR CARS.

one other thing to have a look at is your open air filter. I have seen some pretty convincing evidence that a totally open air filter will suck in HOT air instead of cool air like an air can is designed to. With our filter location, if it is totally open, it gets its air mostly from behind the radiator. Bad idea! With an aircan in place, we get our air from behind the headlight/pass front fender area. Much better.

I know alot of people do this(open air filter/very hacked air can) but you could give it a try, put the stock air can back in, and see what happens.

my 2 centavos.

Get NGK R spark plugs. Don't pay a ton for that Denso Iridium crap, it will make no difference and you will save some $$...

$10 per plug for the same performance? Ridiculous. NGK's have been used by the best (Buschur, Elliot et al.) so why mess with what is proven?

oh and BTW:

WHEN YOU TYPE IN CAPSLOCK, IT MEANS YOU ARE SHOUTING!!!

Please use proper netiquette so the rest of us may understand your postings, especially if you need to express nuances in your message. Just my 2 cents.
