What do you think is the Max HP you could get out of a DSM turbo engine?

Buschur has run 7's in the 1/4 mile @ 171+ mph.

Of course that is a purpose built racing engine and car. Are you talking stock block? Race block? Completely built? Race Gas? Pump Gas? Stock compression?

like how much do you think Paul Walker was pushing to the wheels of that Eclipse?

Do your self a favor. Go watch the Fast and the Furious again and this time chant to yourself "Its just a movie, its just a movie" everytime you see the eclipse.

The Eclipse in that movie was a non-turbo but due to some special movie affects, it was 'hella fast YO!'.

 I hope this guy isn't serious, I am sure he is kidding us and knows that the Eclipse in F&F wasn't a real Turbo 10 second car

stock Block pump gas

Who knows? Anyone going for serious power doesn't leave the block stock and they don't run pump gas either. The closest I can think of off the top of my head is Andre from NJ. He dyno'd at around 420hp on pump gas, but he has cams.

By stock block, do you mean just the bottom end?

How about my set up?

Stock Block Except A.R.P. Head Studs...
And Cams - HKS 264/272...

I've heard the stock Blocks are good to 450hp..

Not sure if that was crank or wheel. I figured crank

Which is why - I haven't tried to get more HP.... yet.

Since I did 363whp.. + 15% drive train loss that's what like 420crank HP.

So for me that's close enough... I don't want to try for more and then have to replace my motor.

That's running C-16 Race Gas....

I was also wondering how do people run like 400whp.. on pump gas...
On built internals?

is it because the internals can handle more knock...Detonation then stock? or what?

I guess I'm just wondering if it's all just a matter of tuning?

I also wondering for sometime if I can do 24psi. and get 363whp.. on my S20G...

Why can't you crank up your stock turbo as far as it will go until you get to that level? I know it's all about the knock counts/ tuning.

But I've always wondered this? and I know some turbo's can't flow enough for to do this.... but why is it that they say...

You shouldn't go about 19psi on Pump Gas....

Well 19psi on a Stock Turbo compared to a T-66 or something is huge....

I am running around 400 hp to the wheels on stock rods and 95 pistons with a mitsu metal headgasket, arp head studs, web cams “street” grind using a hacked mas and safc combo and all of this on pump gas. I am able to do this because I have proper tuning (wb o2 sensor and datalogger) and I make sure to be very careful. With careful tuning 91 rods and 95 pistons have taken over 500 hp to the wheels.

As far as max hp possibe with a 4g63. Some of the big guys like Shepherd are making 750+ hp on c16.

theres a mn dsmer here running 420-ish on pump gas....stock internals..except crower rods , just in case...and 460 on C16. just a thought.

Let me get this straight there is a guy in your group running $700 rods with the stock 7:8:1 1g pistons? Or do you mean 95 pistons?
