ok, I've just purchased my Walbro 255lph fuel pump but I was wondering if this was something complecated to install, I don't have much experience working on my car or any car for that matter so I was just wondering how hard or complecated it was, I'd like to do it myself but if it is something better left to the people that know what they're doing I will just take it to th shop. thanks:dsm:

It's easy.....

it is easy but its a pain in the ass. My install took about 2-3 hours. The actuall install of getting the old pump out and putting the new pump in about 20mins. Hard part is putting the assembly back into the damn car. The rubber gasket thing is a pain. Just be persisant with it and everything will go together and screw back on. If it does not take some time off and then go back at it. Like i said putting the crap back into the car took me about 1 hour to 2 hours... without the brake

If you cut the metal like it says its real easy. Just be prepared for a lot of gas to leak out when you take the lower fitting off.

With a '99 car in a non-salted state it should not be very hard. Mine was a total pain in the ass. Bent the fuel lines and hurt my back from leaning over the damn car for so long.

thanks for the replies guys I appreciate it :thumb:

Pretty easy for me. Took around 1.5-2 hours, and I had no DSM experience. VFAQ helps soo much.
