To start off, i just installed my 16g and everything is fine, other than a oil leak here and there. Now i tried to install the Turboxs standard MBC with the 16g to keep the boost down. When I took it out, it was hitting 20psi and it wasnt creeping, it just slamed to 20psi after about 4k. I thought that the MBC was bad, so i installed the BCS and went back to the stock boost control. Went back out, bam..20psi again. Whats going on? Is the turbo suppose to go that high without a MBC?

What is the spring in the wastegate rated for?

Try this, in order to get the minimum boost, run a DIRECT vacuum line from the outlet of the turbo to the nipple on the wastegate. That will cause it to open at spring pressure. That's the minimum you can run with that wastegate spring.

Or, if you're running an internal wastegate, wire the flapper open.

im not really sure i know what you mean. So your saying to just bypass the BCS and run the hose strait to the WG? I was just wondering if that is normal boost for a 16g without a boost controller.

There is no "normal boost" for a 16G. There's a "normal boost" for the wastegate. The wastegate controls the boost. I could throw a 15psi spring into my wastegate for my turbo and "normal boost" would be 15psi. If I put a 20psi spring into my wastegate, "normal boost" would be 20psi. It's a wastegate rating, not a turbo rating.

Yes, bypass the BCS completely. Run a vacuum line DIRECTLY to the wastegate nipple. That will force the wastegate to open at its minimum spring rating. It won't go any lower.
