I just got my carbide porting/cutting bits from [email protected], he is a member of this board ( I can't remember his login name ). They KICK ASS !! He hooked me up !! I got 2 carbide bits ( one single cut and the other a double cut style ) for $40 shipped !!! I just tested them, the single cut is a little hard to control, but it rips though steel like a dealership turning down warrenties !! I have a lot of porting to do and this will cut my time in about a 1/4..
I was using sandstones and a die grinder, and a SMALL carbide bit in my dremel, but that got old quick, and I hardly got anything done in 6 hours..
I highly recommend him if you are going to be porting your turbos,O2 housing(s), or manifolds.. I'm not sure if I would try to port alum. heads with these, it seems a little too mean. If you've ever thrown a chunk of butter into a hot pan, that's about what this thing would prob. do to a alum. head...
