I am about to install my EGT probe and I was doing some research and noticed a debate over which runner to install the probe. Some say use the #1 runner, but others(well known in DSM community) think that the #2 runner usually runs leanest. Anyone have any concrete evidence or can anyone tell me who is running it on the #2 runner? Thanks

figure out which cylender would get the most pressure and the least fuel (pascals principle states liquid exerts equal pressure everywhere, but in the real world, its pretty obvious that the last one on the row has the least pressure) I debate which intake runner gets the most pressure, i would say that either 1 or 4 gets the most, but my best bet would be 1 since the manifold ends abruptly only leaving it to go into that runner and that injector ALSO theoreticly has less pressure.

anyone care to elaborate on why 1 is better? has anyone tried all 4 holes with peak hold guages?

The 1st Cylinder does and tends to be the hottest.

OK Thanks, well I just remember hearing that some of the big racers put it in the number 2 runner because when their engines blew it was usually in the #2 cylinder. I guess I'll put it in the first runner
