Delavan,
can anyone give me an estimate of how much psi of boost/HP the '95-'99 turbo dsm's are capable of reliably handling? thanks.

either a 16G or 20G...how reliably capable is the stock engine in terms of psi and hp?

for the street or strip? what kinda setup are you talking about? can you get any more vague?

i am not asking what the mods will bring my hp to, i am asking how much the stock engine can hold in terms of psi and hp...just an estimate is all i am looking for..thanks,.

The stock 2G 7-bolt engine can handle about 20-23 PSI without bending the rods and with proper fuel management. Don't forget about CW though, It can happen to anyone anytime. :D

7 bolts can handle more than that. Its all in the tuning and setup. A stock 7 bolt could easily live at 30psi, then again, PSI doesn't mean crap.

About 500hp from a 7 bolt, 550hp for a 6 bolt is the breaking limit.

you wont be able to hold 30 psi on a 16g. it will drop off like boost does on the T25 only not as far down.
