How does this offer any upgrade ?

Well because of the stock rubber mounts, it gives the motor alot of play. so it moves back and forth. NOw if you use prothane mounts which are solid inserts, the motor will not move, and have no play. Which means more power to the wheels, instead of the whole motor jerking bakc and forth due to the torque. But like I said because of the hard full inserts the car vibrates more, because the rubber mounts. Were softer and gave play there is no vibration. Hope thats helps.:D

after installing the prothane mounts on my 2g wrong wheel drive, i noticed wheel hop was reduced severly....BEWARE.....these are a pain in the ### to install, but worth the time and $
