you have a 2nd gen,to maintain a liner fuel flow in relation to boost. you will need a fpr that will not over run with the added fuel pressure created by a pump as large as a walbro 255. the ultimate answer is yes base fuel pressure needs to be at 43-44 psi. we don't know what you're actual fuel pressure is because you have no way to measure it. even if you were to install an AFPR without a FPG you still will not solve this issue.

Solution, buy a AFPR and fpg that you can mount inside the car. It appears that you are planning a fairly large setup Based on your injector selection. get an AFPR and an in car gauge. Set fuel pressure at 43PSI and tune away:thumb:

I don't have a FPR, nor does Chris Tapp who is running a 2.4L stroker motor, which is pushing over 500 whp, and close to 400 torque at the wheels. We haven't noticed any problems so far. I'm running 720 cc injectors too with an AEM EMS. Just thought I'd add my input here.

I think the deal is is that it's not absolutely necessary, but it makes tuning alot easier. I don't have one either, but I am going to buy one in the next few months after I purchase a wideband.
